Well here they are they came Wednesday I was still in my little town when the post office called. worked out well. They are so cute, the goslings do what the older geese do walk with there necks out stretch peeping so funny. I thought when they are a week old I will take them out when the ducks are up and see the reactions of the older geese. Will they care for them I am afraid she will only half do it . also will she trample them trying to protect them. all these thing are going through my mind. what about the weather we get these bad storms. If they where more experience I would not worry so much.

Well here there mug shots.
I would dif let the geese see them but through fencing. and keep doing it daily as often as you can then by 2-3 weeks see how things are going. My adults adopted my 3 weeks old with out any problems. That was my main concern that they didn't step on them, my gander stepped on a duckling by accident and killed it a few years back. And I wanted to make sure they would watch over them like they should both worked out great. hopefully they'll take the ducklings too. good chance. Precious babies.

Here is an updated photo of my flock. How are everyone else's birds?

yeah they kept going off and chasing people, since they live on the farm with my grandparents and my granparents a accountants that work from home they have clients that come all the time and then they attacked the people so they have to stay in a pen it is a very large pen though 58 ft long by 7 ft high. so they have plenty of room but the grass just wont grow in there so i planted a tree and then put a cage around for them not to eat it and hopefully this will help more green grow in the pen and if this doesnt work im letting them back outside and getting grass sod in the pen.

Well I can see where that would be a problem . I have the same problem here where I live I can't get grass to grow well here in the mountains the ground is just too rocky.
I hope the tree grows nice and big and you can get grass to grow too.

Hi Everyone !!! I haven't been on this site for quite some time now, let alone post anything about my babies, so I guess now's as good a time as any to play catch up! Babies...well they sure
aren't babies anymore in the physical sense, but they'll always be 'babies' where it matters most...in my heart. Gus and Gabi are doing exceptionally well (knock on wood...). No illnesses, diseases, injuries nor hostile parasitic takeovers have come to lay havoc on my two darlings. I just really glad that breeding season is finally over. I didn't mind the whole grumpy, pissy, territorial side of it in
the beginning, but once I had to start taking cues from the chickens as to who was running the yard that particular day, Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde, well...that's when things started to get a little weird and
out of control so I had to pull the reins in a little on the free range time that they all could spend together. Two big geese trying to mount each other (regardless of gender) is quite the sight to behold, but to see that same sight played out between my 17 pound gander and my 2.5 pound silkie pullet as he's trying to carry her off to the pool for what I can only assume would be some 'action', well...that's a
sight no one should have to endure !!! And after the second time it happened, no one ever endured it again. We started what I call the 'rotational method' of free ranging. One group in and one group
out....and then 'switch'. Seemed to work for us and no chickens nor geese were placed in jeopardy in the process. Live and learn...
Here are a few current pictures of Gus and Gabi enjoying their day poolside. Oh, if only I could come back as one of my own animals after I die...now THAT would be Heaven...lol !!!
Gus (who doesn't like anyone other than myself, and pretty much just tolerates me even at that), actually went right up to a friend of ours and let her pet him !!! I became so disoriented with disbelief that I almost slipped in a huge fresh pile of goose goo that I had been carefully maneuvering around so as to avoid it. Fortunately for me and my shoes, I was able to do a little two footed side step and avoid
the dubious disaster. Thanks for asking how they were doing !!!

Thanks @Miss Lydia for appreciating my stories. You know, if that silly little thing called 'life' didn't always demand so much of my time and attention, I always thought that I would have liked to have been a writer...oh well...to dream the impossible dream...
