American game bantam?????

Black Breasted Red American Game Bantam on Kelso hens.
Beautiful birds. Larry do you know where I can get BBR American Game Bantam chicks?

Thank you for the complement. The American Game Bantams have been hard to find. A retired Dallas fireman got all of mine. I will get in touch with him and see if he has some that can be passed on to someone else. Those birds are so resilient. They never had worms, coccidious, lice, etc. I hated to get rid of them, but my granddaughter wants to show the Modern Game Bantams and that is taking up the coop room.

Normally, the American Game Bantams are more like the larger game chickens with longer legs, and as someone previous stated they have slate or blue legs. The American Game Bantams are harder feathered and have more tail than the Old English Game Bantams. They also have stronger wing and leg contraction than the Old English. Many of the Old English are built somewhat like the Seabrights.

They also have a more upright carriage, a less arched neck, and are larger. To me they seem to have more "presence" than OEGB bantams. I have a trio on order. They are the neatest little birds and they are very hard feathered which helps with my hypersensitivity pneumonitis which forced me to stop raising bantam Dominiques which are another neat little bird.
