What’s bad is when you hear them rattling chains trying to climb up pens and the roosters just sit there and stare at them. There way to brave here got one climbing on top of a dome pen and rolled him off lol

Both. Most of them been in traps caught in between the pens and rolled the one off the top of the pen haven’t had any action in a few weeks

Normally I set traps further away from my pens in the corners and edges of my yard. The chickens don’t mess with the DP traps at all. They’re simple and fast to set. I keep them out year round. Dry dog food and a raccoon lure will catch all you want. If no lure use syrup or peanut butter.
For lures Blackies moneymaker has raked in easily over 1000 raccoons for me over the years. Minnesota brand Moonshine is pretty good too.

Try an actual lure made for raccoons. Your catch will go up and you’ll catch them a lot faster.

I’ve got some dans coon lure a guy local makes it and I always do good with a trap line when I use it just haven’t picked up anymore

I’ll have to get some on order and try it this stuff I do have has always given good success and caught many coins on it but I like tryin new stuff lol
