I got a hawk hanging around the yard. He was on the fence this morning eyeballing some chicks. He’s fast heading down the wrong path. I only give so many chances.

When I have chicks and hens loose like that I sit out there with them to see where they go. Then I set traps nearby and under the tree they’re in. The little peeping early in the morning before they actually get down will draw in every raccoon in earshot.

Guess I’ll take james in the morning. Got a frog, jig with trailer and weightless worm rigged up maybe well catch something besides grass tomorrow haha.

Yeah I don’t think she went far there’s woods across the road from the yard it’s a gravel road only like 6 people live in my holler and love the chickens lol I’d say she found her a tree there I ran her back in then after I got back from being up on the hill she was gone she’s close I’m sure bc she’s been here almost a year and eats more than any other chicken I have

Never mind I found her lol she’s in a tree right next to my garage that hangs out in the yard lol idk how I didn’t see her earlier.
