If you’re talking about cornish game still, no they were never actually game.Again honestly not sure how serious. They were both jumping at each other and trying to grab whatever they could. Usually mine squabble for like a minute before one at least tries to run but these guys were wearing each other out and making each other bloodied before I had to step in. I was using them for my last year of fair so I didn't want to risk them doing permanent damage, but it didn't look like they were going to stop soon at all.
Maybe my batch was just a bit glitchy though too. I know other breeds sometimes have individual roosters that won't stop fighting.
Okay thanksIf you’re talking about cornish game still, no they were never actually game.
It’s not that cold here. 20s and teens but yeah they can handle the cold just fine. Like any other chicken as long as they stay dry for the most part and out of the wind they’ll be fine. How cold is it supposed to get there? I never bothered to think games could handle the cold
Yup. All roosters will fight at least somewhat. Most will quit but yes even some non game breeds will beat the hell out of each other especially if penned in an enclosure together. Gamefowl or I should say *true gamefowl* won’t quit until they physically can’t keep going. Doesn’t matter if they’re out loose or a gamecock can get to the outside of a pen holding another rooster. They will keep going until they give themselves a heart attack or their legs are so badly torn up they just can’t continue.Okay thanks

There is a lot of misinformation floating around about gamefowl especially on here. Usually repeated by people that have no idea what they’re talking about. Keeping birds penned individually or in breeding pairs is a necessity and not done for ease of use. Multiple pens is far more work feeding, cleaning etc..
Yeah, no I get multiple pens takes nore work. I keep my flocks seperate and it takes time, I can't imagine having to do that for 2x as many because my males had to be seperate.Yup. None of my roosters will run away from one another. If one gets a other while he's on the yard I will have to physically stop them because they will lose an eye or worse. These guys don't have any quit in them. I'll try to find pics of the red-tailed hawk after it flew in the barn. I had a 4 year old mclean an his hens. They literally knocked every feather out of that hawk. Soon as I find pics ill post itAgain honestly not sure how serious. They were both jumping at each other and trying to grab whatever they could.
