I am sorry Feathered Wings. I didn't really think it was bragging. I guess I'm used to people enjoying hearing about the behind the scenes stuff and it was an exciting career and I miss that part. Since you feel that way, I'll be happy to just shut up and let you guys discuss the matter without my commentary.

I feel really embarrassed and humiliated now.

If anyone wants to talk to me, despite my bad manners, you can PM or email me. I do love talking to people who don't mind my stories, but I don't want to offend or upset anyone. I apologize to all I have somehow upset or annoyed. Please forgive me. Guess I need a lower profile.

Nancy - I didn't think it was bragging at all. It was a recollection of working with Joe Perry. Lot's of us have contact and brushes with famous people and if we mention it in passing, it isn't necessarily bragging.

Please don't apologize. It's not necessary.

ETA: hee she said Joe Perry, not Steve....

I agree with Chicky. It's fun stories. I enjoy them. You didn't overstep your bounds. And if you'd like I'll share the time I turned down George Clooney and yes I do mean the George Clooney.

No, I do understand that I can be too, ummmm, overbearing for lots of people and my enthusiasm, passion and know-it-all-ism, combined with my writing style can put people's teeth a little "on edge"....I don't realize it most of the time. I seldom intend it...though if someone ruffles my feathers I can certainly hold my own.

I know that alot of what I claim seems to be unbelievable and I guess that it's sometimes hard for me to believe I lived that life when I compare it to life now. The industry as I remember it is gone. But, that's another story. If I find it hard to believe, I can only imagine how others who don't even know me may feel.

I appreciate your kind comments though and I WANT to hear about George Clooney! C'mon...it sounds like an awesome story! I LIKE hearing all of the good stuff, myself.

When I was in high school, junior year, 16 years old (the year was about 88) we went on a field trip to Hollywood. We went to see a taping of a show that was ironically called ER with George Clooney. This is not the famous ER, it was a comedy starring Elliot Gould. Clooney played the young, hot, comedic dr (yes he was hot back then with such gorgeous hair). At the time I used to watch this show weekly drooling. When they were done taping I went on the stage to get autographs. A stage hand came out and told me that George sent him out there to ask me for my phone number so he could ask me on a date. At that moment I kinda froze and realized that my group was gone. I said you mean me and he was "yes". I said "oh my gosh my group is gone I have to go" and split.

I have had several thoughts about this since then. I could question it all. But hey at 16 I had it going on so as far as I'm concerned I turned down George Clooney.

Wow I had the year wrong. It was around 84-85 so I was even younger. I graduate in 86. Geeze see what an old memory of Clooney will do to a gal.

I didn't take it as bragging and you have no reason to be embarrassed or humilitated. I have enjoyed your behind the scenes stories and hope you'll continue to participate in this thread.

Hey what do you think of Kara critisizing the song she picked for Kris because she wanted him to do more with the arraignment. I kind of agree with Simon. When they pick a song for the contestant there's nothing wrong with them singing it straight or changing it. But if I was told to sing such and such song I wouldn't want to change it up much except to keep it in the time allotment because they have that particular song in mind.

Finally someone on my side can't stand Adam and hope he go's home!

I want him gone, he annoys the day lights out of me. He know's he's good and he acts like it--he's smug and has got too big of an ego. IMO only!!! Not to offend Adam fans. He's got to go home, I think he would be great as an actor on Broadway! Who is Adam--he's always acting and it's fake and annoying. That scream, when he sticks out his tongue when he sings, I just cringe, ugh! I actually don't like Danny that much, I like Kris...didn't do that great last night though.......but I don't care who wins as long as it isn't Adam! There I had my Idol vent......and it's all my oppinions only!
