I like her, so what if she voices her opinions. Celebrities have been doing it for years. Maybe someone NOT connected with music, but has good taste in acting/singing/entertaining might work out. Could we at least give her a chance. She might get on there, hate it, and leave. Personally, I know Simon is a cool dude and everyone loves to hate him, but I don't care for him. I think he puts on just a little bit too; no one could be that successful and be as hateful and snide as he is on that show. Randy is o.k., but I do get tired of his calling everyone "dog". On the flip side, I did watch a little bit of America's got Talent last night, and I use to LOVE David Hasselhoff, but he just acts like a big kid on that show. . .Sharon Osbourne is good, but she was never in music, just married to the Oz . . .I don't know what the British guy does, but he doesn't sing I don't think????? There should be room for anyone to judge these shows. For crying out loud, even if they lose, they get a contract through someone. It's a win/win situation, and the judges really don't matter. I don't watch AI, but keep up on it when it gets down the finals, so its going to be interesting to see how this season goes.

I don't like her at all! She can't sing she can't dance and she's not funny. The only ray of ope I hold for any positive outcome is she will be an easy target for Simon!

Same here Ellen can be funny and i like her show she has some great guest on.
But for American Idol i have to say No she has no music background and i think thats a must to be a judge.
She also could be a distraction with her try to be comedic all the time.

Just seems like a bad choice to me
