well when it either lays an egg or crows let us know. Some times they do have wattles and all the stuff so you just dont know some times.

So hey, back to the frizzle genetics, if the 50% that turn out smooth, do they carry the frizzle gene at all? or are they 100% smooth.

I will say they carry the gene but hey, I dont know a boy from a girl so someone here needs to answer this.

Okay, so they only need 1 copy to show frizzle, meaning a frizzle has both a smooth and frizzle gene. Mated to a smooth, you can get smooth x smooth, and frizzle x smooth, hence the 50%.... Got it....
