THat is what I understand Bill, either it is frizzled or it is not and does not carry the gene.

Frizzled to smooth is 50% probability of frizzled or smooth. Probabilities are averaged over a large number and long period. Therefore, I can still have 4 frizzleds out of 4 hatched and next time I may have 4 smooth out of 4 hatched.

Now the silkied gene is recessive and can be carried and not shown (hidden) in a smooth bird if received from one parent.

As long as they are getting along should be ok. The big problem I think is making sure they don't fight over the chicks after they are hatched.

I'd say just watch and see how they act after the chicks have hatched. I have NO experience with this.

Prob a wheaten but too young to know definitely what color they will turn out.

thank you so much. I know they change so fast and many times (I am new and still learning my seramas) but the markings and color is just so pretty.

Thank you Froggie, I thought you would like. I had some other photos up of them about a week younger but I accidentally erased themout of my "uploads area" and I forgot that this deletes them from the thread. sorry. They were just fuzzier then.

Thank you from everyone else who commented. The white and black is one of my favorites too.

Hello!
I have a question to all of you that have or are hatching Serama eggs. Turner or no turner? I have eggs arriving this week, I'll be hatching them in a Hova bator Genesis 1588. I would prefer to use the turner, but I've see alot of people are saying no turner with Serama's??
Thanks!

I don't use a turner with mine. The one time I did, the insides were so scrambled, wavy air sacs in every single one of them....but I know a lot of people do. Your eggs are going out later today or tomorrow morning
