In looking at your setup I am curious as to how you turn your eggs. I have two GQF's, neither of which have turners. I have one that looks just like the ones you picture, and I am using it as a hatcher. My other one is much older. It is red plywood, but it's a GQF and it works great. I would like to put some kind of auto turner in my old one, but I have not figured out how to do it yet. Right now I set my eggs in regular egg cartons and I simply turn the cartons from side to side.
Please, I need help, I have to stop hatching, NOW!!!

Hello everyone! I have alot of questions, some about Seramas and others about the new site. Recently one of my hens has stopped laying..like completely I haven't got'n an egg from her in about 2 weeks. Is something wrong or is this natural? Also my Silkied Frizzle boy Gizmo doesn't seem to be feeling good and it looked like he was shivering, so I moved him back under the brooder lamp even though he's 2 months old now. He's on SaveAchick, but it doesn't seem to be helping. He's just off, he seems very tired recently and doesn't move around like the others do. I'm really worried. Also, how do you check for fertility in eggs? Recently I've just been sticking them in the bator with out checking and all have been fertile, but I just put frontline on them to get rid of lice and wanted to make sure that the eggs they are laying are still fertile. I want to make sure they haven't developed any fertility problems. Okay now about this site. Has anyone elses been going RE...AL....Y.... SL..OOOOOOOOWWWWW? I mean I like the new site and everything, but, my god I usually wait a minuet for everything to load.

Try some bananas for Gizmo. I mush them with water, and stick them in a syringe, and put it in their mouths (carefully). And yes, heat, hard boiled egg yolks, you could try a drop or so of liquid B vitamins. Hold him up to your ear, and listen to his breathing. If its labored, or crackly, then he might need antibiotics for respiratory infection.

For egg fertility, you can crack them open, and look for the "bullseye".

I use Firefox as my browser, and I didn't have any trouble with the site transition. I dumped Internet Explorer a long time ago. It was slow and problematic.

They have auto turners except the one on the top right. Its a hatcher and I love it. It is digital and easy to set. The others are wafers and are easy also but I love the hatcher that does not turn. I can hatch or incubate in it. You just turn eggs manual but I use it for hatching. I put a few trays a week in it to hatch.

hey folks im going threw my kids and deciding what im gonna keep from my past hatches and have 2 buff ginger pullets that im gonna let go.... they come from a very good pair but not same quality as parents. PM me if interested im letting them go for very reasonable and can ship if you so wish....if both went to same home then they should do fine shipping in a cooler climate

What do you mean bill are they pet quality or not ... Does not matter if they are from good line or not ... I get culls from some of the best line and I still call them culls aka pet quality ... So bill post some pics and tell me if they are pet or for show ????
