American serama thread!

LMAO! He is the cutest little squab I ever did see!!
I used to raise doves and when they hatched some babies and I saw them for the first time they had these big hideous things on their beaks - looked like a bunch of gonzos. They were so ugly they were cute!
His colors are going to develop beautifully.

I used to hatch chicken from under my homers all the time then I gave that pigeon breeding hobby when I went off to college ... Now I find myself back breeding chickens for fun ... My little boy like the seramas and it keep us happy as a family these little guy do alot for our friends and family ...

WOW! This thread has been ALIVE today!

Anyways, I just wanted to mention that my journey into seramas has begun! My hatching eggs from Clyde arrived today, and are now in an incubator, waiting for their special day!

Wow! We have a lot in common. I bred poultry for well over a decade before I rehomed them all and went off to college. I told myself I was finished with raising poultry forever. I had ducks, geese, pheasants, doves, love birds, and way too many breeds of chickens to recall.
Now I have gotten back into seramas and they are the only breed for me. I've been thinking about getting one large breed to raise for meat and eggs, but I just fancy the seramas so much. They satisfy my every need - only problem is I could never turn them into chicken nuggets.
When one of my cockerals was being naughty my five year old informed me that we should "crack it open and take its nugget out" LMAO
He really enjoys them too and so does my husband - having seramas has really pulled us all together and made us closer than ever.
I have made some of the best friends a person could ever hope to have through my love of seramas and I am so grateful for each and every one of my true friends.
Thank you, seramas!!

She told me I didnt have to get rid of them . That I can keep as many as I like lol ... Gotta love that women .. she thought that I was giving up the hobby ... Then I told her look around the yard we have 200 cockerels and pullets to raise and we needed the room .. also if it helps others why not right ...
