I would like to encourage more people to post photos of their Silkied Serama. They are lovely unique birds (both in appearance and personality) and deserve more recognition. This bird appears black in photos, however, he is a chocolate black. He is producing beautiful offspring in silver fawn and also chocolate duckwing...I will post photos of them when they are a little older. In the meantime, lets have a 'silkied fest'.![]()

I can get some of my birds to pose sometimes, but most of the time they doddle around and look at me as if they're saying, "Treat? How 'bout now? Where's my food?" Then they stretch their necks out at me and look at me expectantly so when I take my pictures it looks as if I'm raising miniature yawning ostriches.
