American serama thread!

June, your silkieds are gorgeous. I don't have any to post pics of ...

One of these days when I have more room, I'll order a pair from you.

LOL! June! You said it, silkied seramas are awesome- i have my 2 broodies, not from your lines, but really neat- and of course my handsomest Little Joe from you...:)

I would like to encourage more people to post photos of their Silkied Serama. They are lovely unique birds (both in appearance and personality) and deserve more recognition. This bird appears black in photos, however, he is a chocolate black. He is producing beautiful offspring in silver fawn and also chocolate duckwing...I will post photos of them when they are a little older. In the meantime, lets have a 'silkied fest'.

I will keep you guys updated! I forgot to mention, I took them up to a place not too horribly far from here to someone with an incubator with some tiny bantam experience (OEGB), since I don't have an incubator. She'll probably candle within the next week, so I'll update you guys when that happens!

And thanks Ken! I really hope I get something to take to the June show, even if they aren't gonna be very old!

keep us updated I bet they are going to have some great type and be small for you

EDITED to add: I hope that I can catch a ride with someone else down there... that drive is a bit of a bear from here, especially since the longest drive under my belt so far is from here (Fresno) to Daly City and back. It would be so much easier to carpool!

FELLY~~~~ Congratulations on your serama eggies! May you have a good hatch and keep us posted...can't wait to see fuzzy-butts!

RA~~~~ Just WHERE do you come up with the names for your tribbles?? They are such a hoot! meatball.....too funny

I can get some of my birds to pose sometimes, but most of the time they doddle around and look at me as if they're saying, "Treat? How 'bout now? Where's my food?" Then they stretch their necks out at me and look at me expectantly so when I take my pictures it looks as if I'm raising miniature yawning ostriches.

Wish I could help you with yer ostriches, but I know someone will chirp in with info..... I gave up on my spoiled brats....they give me THE LOOK like I am out of my mind.....
I know there is detailed info on BYC, somewhere, I just don't know where at the moment.....=)
