American serama thread!

ok so i heard something about this once and it sounds like she double ovulated....i know sounds weird but happen rarely.... its like doing a double yolker but they dont wind up in the same shell... i dont remember if its hereditary or not but i know it is rare and hopefully if no infection she will survive it

That's really scary, I can't imagine what I'd do if that happened to one of my girls.
 
I thought about cleaning her but she was pushing earlier but now is not so I can only guess she pushed it all out. I hope she did anyhow.


 


OH MY that was something else! I would post on emergencies illnesses and see if someone can chirp in on what to do ..if anyhting. Dawg53 is extremely knowledgeable on birds, maybe PM him? I lean twards giving antibiotics because of a possible bacterial infection, but which one???? I would bring her in so you can monitor her closely....

CHAILI-----the pictures are GORGEOUS!!! I can't believe little Dan is 2 weeks old already....What is the name of the teeny-tiny fuzzy that you had so much trouble with at the beginning??? How is it doing?
