American serama thread!

They were hatched in Oct and I have I think either 13 or 15. I have them banded or in a pen together. There are some cute ones. I love the lil barred.

Those are some really nice looking birds. How many do you have now? I really like the little cockerel in the middle photo. How old are they now? I am planning on building some pens this summer...my main concern is how to keep them warm during the winter...I have not figured out the best way for this yet.

I got a question!
Can a serama survive Maine winters? I want a pair...


They could not be outside in 10 feet of snow and temps always below zero.
But there are Serama breeders in Canada not sure which part.

Definitely have to have a secure coop totally dry and out of the wind. If you are only going to have one pair, they would probably need a heat lamp.

course if you just keep them inside in the winter even inside on a porch or backroom, it would help
