American serama thread!

Seramas can breed true this has been proven by many breeder and nature has its laws . Only takes a few generation . and a group of people to get this done . That is how the White is accepted and they do breed true same with the blacks .

the Boaz and ruth soap opera seems to have settled down, i made them a 'roost' so she can hop up on it to get away from his encounters, so she can get a break- seems to be working for them- here is the latest pic of her

a non-serama question- is there a treatment for crossbeak??

Little rooster we are using this year. He is a lot broader and more filled out that the picture shows but every time I get near him, he starts trying to feed me.

That makes me curious- do you guys have pics of your chicks and then pics of that same bird grown?  just curious what variety of colors at hatching are likely to become which colors when grown.  Seeing that little chick made me think of identifying my own :jumpy   I have some little peepers that are only a week old and I'm itching to know what I have. :)

There is a thread on BYC for before and after....let me see if I have it on my favorites....:D

Thanks for all your compliments on my rooster! I'll get some pics of the hen up, too. She went broody! So cute, but, she really needs to lay an egg to sit on first... hay, unfortunately, does not hatch into chicks. Maybe she knows something I don't?
