Is it possible that these chickens are Serama? Someone on the Japanese thread thought they might be? I'm not sure because they are just for sale locally...

Does anyone else have roosters with two distinct crows?

My guys are kept in a cage on the front porch. Every morning we hear the "wake up" crow. This is the same crow we hear when the big roos start the crow-off with the little roos. The other crow is one I call the "welcome home" crow. I don't know if they are imitating the dogs or not - our cockatiel did. Anyway, this is the crow I hear as I pull up the driveway and get out of the car. It's followed by "chattering" until I get up there to say hello and refresh water before I go into the house.

And please, please send some good hatching vibes this way!

I was originally supposed to get a trio from Jerry, but it didn't work out so he sent two dozen eggs instead (which I thought was very nice) and now I'm praying for a decent hatch rate. Some of the eggs were marked with colors too - blue, black, wheaten and chocolate. Really need to widen our Serama gene pool here and this should help if successful!

I don't know if they are serama or not, but the one on the left has some wild tail feathers. Reminds me of the "parrot" tulips in our planters.

From what I can tell that bird will only get better with age and I like his long legs and type for that young of age

A few of my older boys. These are full brothers out of Bo and Layla. Yep, had three Serama eggs, all three cockerels and two MF d'Uccle eggs hatch one of each.
No attempt to pose, this is their natural stance. They're 13 months old.
