I let one of my hens sit on an egg since she insited on it and it hatched today!
I honestly didn't think it would hatch. I have never had a broody hen before. It is just adorable to see that little chick peek out from under its mom and its sooo little.

He is so beautiful!. I just ordered eggs and hope to have them set by next Friday! The seller is from Louisiana, so I'm guessing they are Malaysian origin? They look it, so pretty. Will it be OK to join all of you here even if my (hopefully) future chicks don't quite fit the American requirements? I'd like to learn how I might improve or at least know what my future chicks faults are. But not if I'm going to be told to go away, I'd feel so rejected and hurt! LOL. So I figure I better ask now before blundering in!
