American serama thread!

im still looking for pet quality seramas that are only 40 dollars which include shipping sorry to be bothersome but i rly wanna join this thread and would love these tiny cuties

Serama hen, where do you live? Maybe we could point you to a local breeder. ALL breeders have "culls" which are birds that just don't make the cut [in that breeders opinion] for showing and/or breeding. Please let us know. :)

try this, this is the site where you pick and by your roo and then pick a hen for free and then they ship.  I had been looking for seramas for a while, they are hard to find, maybe just at this time of year?

American Serama Association has lots of breeders that sell birds. http://www.americanseramaassociation.org/Breeders_Listing.html
This is a partial listing of the breeders. A good place to start. I will see who the PA. rep is and post it for you.

I've seen a few breeders offer roosters/cockerels (when they have too many) at the cost of box/shipping, but that would probably be around $50...some of them are nice quality too! But as was already mentioned, boxes are $10 or more, and the shipping itself, because it's overnight or two days max, is usually around $35, depending on location...

It is from "lovemychix" on here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...diapers-harnesses-great-prices-check-them-out She was great to work with, and got these made and shipped super quick. I imagine my problem is either me measuring wrong, or not putting it on quite right. I got a 5" size for my seramas since they are 3-4 months old and might fill out more still. I put it on Mocha who measures 4.5" and it just barely covered her vent and actually rubbed her skin and made her bleed a bit because it didn't seem long enough. Then I had the trouble with her legs getting stuck in the belly part which seemed too wide to fit between her legs. I tried it on Mocha who measured 4" and it fit better for length, but her legs also got stuck when she tried to walk.
