American serama thread!

Excited to see all the seramas at the Ohio Nationals in a few weeks. I am supposed to be going there to bring home some bantam mottled cochins to start my show flock, but not sure if I can resist getting more seramas to add to the trio I already have. I love how my frizzle roo looks like a little displaying turkey when he runs around... They were 3-4 months when I got them so I am working on getting them to be more tame. Amazing how fast the rooster's little legs can go! Tried chicken diapers last night without much success. She kept taking steps and getting her foot caught on the part of the diaper that goes between her legs since it seemed a bit too wide. She would then flop around and freak out. Not sure what to do there...

Awww, That'd be fun to watch, LOL. I have up on a firefox tab, the lady on youtube that shows how to make them, but none of mine are old enough to do it yet, so I must wait (with the tab open, LOL) Actually, I better bookmark it before I lose it ;P I'd like to have some favorite birds roam around the house, that'd be really fun ;)

Can they still fly with a diaper on? At least high enough to perch ~ 3 feet high? I've got an old school science project (pulley system) that would make a perfect perch! Although made of a 2X4, they could perch like a parrot wherever I am working, LOL, wouldn't that be cool? (hubby called me crazy chicken lady today, so I guess I've lost it)

My daughter Kiersten will be showing her seramas again this year at the Ohio Nationals. She had the Grand and Reserve Junior Frizzles last year she is taking direct siblings to show and to sell. We are only bringing home the best fizzle cockeral everything else will sell. Ten or so adults frizzle and smooth and younger ones available, We are super excited after last year and cant wait to show again. Hopefully some we sold last year will also be showing. Hope to see juniors we met last year showing again!!!
