American serama thread!

What color would you call my roo Golding? I am calling him a half spangled wheaten. Is that correct? He has the black breast with spangling in it. His hard tail feathers are black, his hackle and saddle feathers are an orange golden and his back and parts of his wings are orangish-red. I have been told my pullets are silver duckwing, but arent the girls supposte to get a colore breast?

This is my little rooster he is about 4 months old . Size wise do you think he is ok ? Is there a name for the color / pattern he is? Thank you .

Here he is with the two frizzle hens and the little white hen, About her her name is sweetie. Her tail is differnt and she is bigger, is she a diffrent kind of serama ?
Thank you very much.

I, personally, wouldn't waste time with eggs. There are so many breeders willing to give nice quality serama to people to start with for the cost of shipping only.

I would have loved to find those people in all the time I have been looking. I would much rather do that than buy eggs. But, that was all that I could find. Speaking of that I have had 5 new little ones hatch today.

Warrprincess688 is her username. Really pretty birds, and East Coast, so better for us over here. Haven't used her yet though. Man, my luck is crappy with getting eggs this week. The Silkies I want, just got the PM that I'm #5 in line, so about 2 weeks from now.
I did just talk to a lady that I'm getting a trio of Seramas from tomorrow, so that's exciting. We'll see...
Thanks, I'll keep my eye out for her posts, I'd love to see pictures of her birds!

For the mess I will all let you know how my parrot cage works because it has a built in skirt to keep feathers and shavings inside and a tray that easily slides out if you wanted to change tha wood shavings everyday. But after a week, they really werent that stinky even in the house. Actually cats are worse, after 1 day that litter needs tossed out and entire room nuked because of the smell.

Yah, I'm surprised how little these chickens smell, though I do use a lot of shavings (I don't skimp, LOL)

There is a cute Serama roo at the Red Barn Feed store in Reseda right now (or a few days ago) which I didn't expect to see. If I didn't already have eggs in the 'bator and a little one in the brooder, I'd have brought him home. He's probably too big, but if he's a pet, it doesn't really matter, and he's quite cute! Nice shape and pretty wheaten (I think, not good with colors, LOL)
