does anyone know any fatty food for my chicken so shell stay warm in these cold temps
Carbs like corn help keep them warm. You can also buy or make suet blocks. I also take stale bread, and pour leftover cooking oil or meat drippings and feed that a few times a week when it's cold to the outside birds.

Ever see those blocks of bird seed in the store? Not 'bird seed' per se, but it looks like bird seed plus a bunch of fat? LOL, well its covered in fat (For wild birds) and my birds love them, it keeps 'em chunky in the winter
do you mean suet blocks...can chickens have those? awesome!!!

Congratz!

Yaaay, I was running out of 2X4's and hubby has a bee in his bonnet to make something and was going to the hardware store, so I hitched along and got him to buy me a bit of hardware plus some wood! I hope to get this second coop finished by the end of this week. I should be able to do it??? Except the roof........ That I'll have to get out of him later
