I do too, but yes, I will also try to procure more frizzle eggs in the future if I don't this time aroundOh, Cluck-Cluck, I sooo.. hope you get a Frizzle. I keep watching mine, but have to say, there is really only 2 that I have a remnant of hope for. Feathers are ever so slowly turning up on Cocoa, but it may be my wishful thinking. We'll see, but I do know, next time, I'm going for Frizzles. MUST HAVE A FRIZZLE>>>>
Oh you're so lucky! I think the time of year gave me really bad luck with the post officeI candled at two days..with a bright enough light you can make out the early starters. I will candle again tomorrow, but as of last night late, it looks like almost every one of my eggs for the NYD hatch is veining![]()
So adorable! What's a rice warmer?
Think positive!!!I'm just loving all the babies, even if your pictures are SLOWLY convincing me that there is a SMALL POSSIBILITY that I MAY NOT have a Frizzle this time around. Still holding onto my thread of hope though.![]()
Put it in the bator but do not turn it for the first few days. That will help the aircell to settle even more and help the embryo get stronger. Make sure the egg is kept in an upright position the entire time (egg carton with bottom cut out for airflow.)
kukupecpec, many of mine have loose or dislodged air cells. Some settled. I started my incubation with the first two days not turning, having them sit in the egg cartons upright (big end up) My eggs were really badly shaken up as well (I knew there would be a high risk this time of year) and yet, thankfully, I think I see 5 developing tonight. I didn't see anything when I checked a few this afternoon, then I couldn't go to sleep without checking one more time, I mean, what a bummer if none of them hatched! So I systematically checked all of them. The first one that I came to that had a lovely spider vein (4th or 5th egg) I was so happy! Then I looked at the egg again, and it was my one and only possible frizzle egg!, now my heart leapt with joy! I subsequently found 4 more eggs, one that is a maybe, could be a blood ring of sorts, but could be veins?? I'm really hoping more will develop, but if I get two chicks (including that frizzle) I'll be so happy!
Unfortunately i don't think i can fit any thing to hold them upright in my little bator. I have the brinsea mini advance.
awwwwwI am disapointed in these pictures. My camera needed to be recharged and maybe that is why I couldn't get them better. Will try again but gives you and idea what they look like at 2 weeks old
this is Berry.
this is Tinsel. She is a frizzle, right?
Thgis is Toy which acts like a little cockerel
This is Twinkle, I am beginning to think how he stands is a cockerel?
