American serama thread!

I understand the sale area will have some very nice serama from winning serama breeders from California.

Banty - yes I have the Mini Advance. I used the tray for 12 small eggs and it worked great. This is my first Serama hatch. I used the 7 egg disc for duck eggs and it worked well for those, too. I also like the Brinsea EcoGlow brooder.

Sad news for me today... My Serama and Cochin Frizzle passed away last night. Something came in and got them. The New Year is off to a bad start for me.

Sad news for me today... My Serama and Cochin Frizzle passed away last night.

Something came in and got them. The New Year is off to a bad start for me.

These aren't the best pics, it's too cold to take them outside where I have better light. But this little boys color keeps throwing me off. I thought he was black, but he just doesn't look black to me anymore. Then I thought choc, but he's gotten pretty shiny irridescent feathers since then so I was told he isn't chocolate. So now I'm thinking blue maybe? Or is he just a light black? He just isn't nearly as dark as my other black chickens, and none of them have darker lacing on their black feathers.

Beautiful! Is there a name for the color of #4? That's what my Luna is starting to look like!

Is there a charcoal name? He's very pretty, love the lacing!
