That is pretty much how I run my incubator. Day 1- 18 in the low to mid 30's. Then at lockdown 62%. Once I see a pip I up it to 65%.HI,
I still cannot get pic's up grrrrrrrrrrrr
And really want to .I need some help with colors.
Other than that.just having fun waiing for babies......
Had a hen go broody so pulled the eggs from the incubator and gave to her........
Day 7 .,I think...........
Have been working on breeding pens...........I'll let you know if they work out.
Size 2x2x2.............
Fuzzybird.you know your area better than I do so perhaps your humidity is coerrect for your location.
I run my humidity a little higher and wonder if this could be having an affect on your LF hatch.
I run about 35 to 40 in the beginning ...never let it drop to 20. and about 65 for lockdown.
Hope you have better luck next time...![]()

Chicks are 2 months old today
I am in love
Good website! I already knew about it, but thought I'd put my 2 cents in, LOL
Beautiful!
Ok, got my pictures done today:
Harriet is 17 and a half weeks old (18 on Tuesday) Sorry it's not a great picture, I gave up after a while. They kept going behind things and crawling under things, LOL, then I couldn't shoot a picture!
Harriet is from an egg off ebay from someone in Louisiana. The only egg that hatched.
Here is Sirius. He "wears" his tail at about 45 degrees He is just about 15 weeks old as are Hermione and Luna. They're from Castle Delights Seramas
In this picture, he's kind of turned away from the camera and sorta looking over his shoulder, It makes him look skinny, but he has a nice belly
Here is Hermione, she has a long back and is the biggest of the girls. She is sweet and we do love her! Love her color! Sorry the picture is so bad!
And finally Luna, who took some ucky photos today. She can be amazing, with her tail and back closed upon themselves. I think she is my best looking typy girl.
Here she was interested in terrorizing one of our new chicks. I guess she saw an opportunity to peck someone down, since she's the smallest of the bunch she grew up with, LOL. Had to protect poor Ron.....
Hey, wait, that is probably why she was doing it, he's Ron! LOL
and here are the babies. Ron has something in his genes. Maybe a half/showing up silkie feathering gene? I don't know but his feathers are frazzled looking. He's not sick and has no bugs on him, so I think he just looks that way. He and his brother, Cedric are almost 7 weeks old
