American serama thread!

When pullets start laying they are not consistent. .just leave her in peace and let nature take it's course.
Second that--relax a bit, and for crying out loud, resist the impulse to go out and squeeze...! :) Just leave her be and you'll get eggs when you get eggs.

Why? And should I or not?
I would say NOT. Get a good Serama cock and let him be your girl's best friend. :) You have no idea what that roo has been exposed to, and the odds of his coming to your hen and mating are pretty darn slim when he's that wild.

Um. If you've no rooster, why are you incubating her eggs? *scratching head*

I have been artificially inssaminating her with my two month old bantam lav americauna... My serama attacked him the two times he tried to plant her lol ! My problem is the rooster is starting to cluck... That means crowing comes afterwards, I'm in a no roo zone. I gotta get rid of him. I got fertile eggs first time I did it, I fertilized her one last time because I gave him away today.

Will anyone be willing to sell me rooster seed? I really want chicks and don't want to buy anymore hatching eggs.
