I find it interesting that there is so much talk about A B C class and size. When you go on a breeder/show thread they never talk about size unless it is over a pound as it would DQ the bird if it gets to a Tier 2 judging.
The smaller the bird the more likely it is to have reproductive problems.
Now, that said, When they are just pets (like mine) size is of no consquence.
I did have to have a "Class A " (approx 8 ounces) size hen spayed as her eggs were SO LARGE they would have killed her as the second egg she laid broke inside her!!! Her personality was such that I was willing to pay the price to be able to keep her.
Males can be infertile also when they are very small.
Remember, a tiny egg will NOT guarantee a small bird. that egg has to be large enough to allow a chick to develop enough to be able to hatch, so be careful of setting tiny eggs to hatch.
