congrats Jesse !!! hope every one of them hatch for you !! Ladycat, thank you for your thoughts on helping me with eggs but i cant use them. My bator will be full with Jesses eggs.

Is anyone in the Sacramento area? I'd like to have a serama for a house chick as I miss my late house duck terribly.
If I were to get just the one house bird, is there any suggestions as to what would be best in the way of tame ness & temperament & then looks? Should I learn to hatch just for one chick or if someone is local would I be able to come get a chick on their hatch day? They would have many friends & much attention! Thanks!

Ok one of my serama pullets laid a fart egg today it is really tiny! Here is a pic from left to right standard egg, serama egg, and the fart egg its only about 3/4" long.

Here is a pics of my new serama that just hatched this am i have three more breaking out as we speak. These are from you Ladycat. This one has booted/feathered legs.

So i just got off the phone with a lady that i am getting two pairs of seramas from (smooth and hopefully frizzled) and the guy she bought them from was an idiot and didnt notice they were infested with lice when he sold them to her. so instead of getting them thursday we are waiting until the week after that way she can treat the lice and also one of the younger birds acts as if it has an upper respitory issue so she will be treating for that as well. im also getting a single male from OCSeramas and he will be here weds or thurs. this has been a crazy week. ill also be having an order of hatchery birds coming. so yay haha

did she happen to mention what kind of upper res. it was having? like symptoms?

the only symptom she noticed was gasping. the last time she had a bird like that it was aspergiliosis (i think thts how its spelled?)
