American serama thread!

I'm sure I've contacted almost all of you guys at some point now LOL

I'm looking for fertile serama eggs to be shipped to or for local pickup near the Silicon Valley, in northern California (SF Bay Area).

I'm primarily searching for breeders with frizzled and silkied seramas in their breeding stock, so that I have a chance to hatch something besides straight feathered seramas. Good body type is pretty important to me, as well as color variety.

I'm aware of the difficulties of hatching shipped serama eggs, but I accept any challenge and am not afraid of disappointment!

My first incubation experience was with shipped serama eggs, and I was fairly successful (4 hatched/17 eggs is awfully low, but for my first time incubating, with a bunch of them having detached air cells, and that they were shipped serama eggs, I think it was a success).

Edit: Oops, I got 14, not 17 eggs. Don't know where that 17 number came from! I got 14 eggs, 6 with detached air cells, 7 developing, 4 hatching. 4/14 is a bit better hatch rate than out of 17 :p

Thank you all for your time! I hope to be more active on this thread in the future when I have more seramas :)

Ok I am back, I had to pull some brownies out of the oven, its been a long day, My brain Is exhausted. But I Know I have seen you on my thread, Pics of all my birds are on there, I am still trying to decide if I want to sell eggs, or just adult birds

It is a little far away from The bay area, Around sacramento, But There is a serama show on the 13th I think, I think I might get another hen, to replace the one that just passed away, I will be showing some birds, So if you are interested in birds/eggs Let me know I need to set up a wait list... I already have a few people, But If demand gets really high, I might Just have to hatch more!

Y'all remember this little one who wouldn't how still? Used to be named Harriette. Well, 'she' developed a massive comb overnight and was crowing this morning

So now, out of the eight that are really Seramas, I've got five hens and three roosters.

I'll get a pic of the little guy tomorrow. On the bright side, he has got the most upright stance I've seen in any of my birds. His two brothers are practically horizontal next to him

Turning out to be a beautiful mottled, too.
I wouldn't be so disgusted if they'd been straight run. This little guy was a 'pullet' when I got him. Ah well.
Oh yeah, and is there a way to post a video? This little guy has the most hilarious crow

Yeah, I've been lurking in a bunch of the Serama threads lol. Put me down as interested in your eggs!

Just ordered some eggs from @Ra_ so that should keep me distracted until spring. Can't wait for those cutie-patootie tribbles
