I also came down to find a chick from my silkied pair hatched!
Candling would let you know if there's a chance.
A definite air cell means a living or once living embryo. A good, effective candler can be made using a flashlight. Take thin four inch wide cardboard strip and wrap around the end so it is a little smaller than the egg size. Tape the cardboard strip on the end of the flashlight. This forces light through the egg making it easier to view the egg contents. A small bright flashlight is easier to remodel.Congrats
I finished fabricating the catwalk for the incubator so I collected the eggs.
I tried to take a candling photo but I don't have a good light source for that.
I saw an air cell at the top of one egg, if that means something?
The light colored baby is one of Powder's. Not sure which guy sired the others.
Here's Charley at 6 months and all bulked up. The 'Worf' chicks may also be his.
He's the biggest horndog in my flock. No loose hen goes unnoticed.

I have 3 pips and 1 internal pip!
Congrats

A definite air cell means a living or once living embryo.
Are you positive of that statement? I'm not so sure that's true.
My statement was incomplete. If there is a definite air cell, one side showing some darkness, that egg is or was alive containing an embryo. With Ra-s case the egg would be totally dark with only the air cell allowing light through.
