American serama thread!

I culled my chick its not worth all the time trying to fix it when it still kept falling over.

I rather expected that you might have to. The word "culling" is dimly viewed on as being inhumane should the bird be put down. Sometime it just has to be and that is being humane.

I was giving the birdies their mash before bedtime. Gracie made the unusual move of jumping off her eggs to come get some. Lo and behold, there was a beautiful little chick. It's light colored, so I'm thinking it may be from Fifi. Hoping she hatches some more overnight.

I have a hen with three that should be hatching any day now; forgot to write down the beginning date. I won't be keeping hen or chicks. As soon as the eggs hatch they will be going to a new home. It's the hen in my avatar.

Next hatch are my tribble eggs a week from Saturday. My smallest eggs yet are due the same day. And then nothing until we know for sure on our move to TN. We've made an offer on a home near Jackson; we're hoping.
