I'm guessing there are at least three Roos in the first photo....just going by the head gear...and stance.

Mom and chick are doing well....the chick could sit comfortably inside a bottle cap...more mom walks in slow motion, setting her feet down so carefully...the chick buzzing around her feet, like a big black Bumble bee, happily chirping away....

Someone told me if you get chicks from a frizzle rooster and a frizzle hen then the feathers of the chicks will fall out in the winter. Is this true? Picking up some seramas saturday and didnt know whether to get a frizzle rooster or not.

Two frizzle genes make a bird with very brittle feathers, they will break VERY easy and not just in winter. But if you breed that bald little velociraptor to a smooth bird ALL their offspring will be frizzled. I wouldn't do it, I want all my birds to be happy and balding birds take a lot more care.

Here is a picture I found of a Roo with two frizzle genes

In the game of   'Roo or Hen' it helps to know the age of the birds :)

The first pic im pretty sure are all males...i just got done culling them...couldnt take the aggressiveness towards eachother anymore as one had a skull showing from being attacked. Im not gonna sell agressive males either. So they are dog food now. They are resting in my fridge.
And they are 6 weeks old

Anyone know of any other breeders who have birds with the "squeaker" gene? Castle Delight Seramas only have one old roo with it so that seems to be a dead end, and Bluegrass Seramas haven't responded to my message and don't seem to post much on FB anymore - not sure if they are breeding and/or selling anymore.

Found our first 2 serama eggs today! Not sure which or how many of our 4 hens layed them. So eggciting! They are a little over 4 months old. My 8yo DD says they taste way better than the big chickens eggs. There was a teeny one and a larger one that was a double Yolker!
