some hatch more then that...but that's the most I've given one hen.Is she a Serama? If so maybe two or three....not sure. But if it's a standard size hen she should be able to cover 8 Serama eggs without any trouble. I've had one successfully hatch out 10 regular eggs. Yes, I realize

Serama come in a variety of sizes; some can easily cover 10 eggs while others have trouble with just 4 or 5. Other than my smallest hens, I give them 8 to start, candle at six days, and discard those that are not developing. By discarding those that are infertile or have DIS the rest have a better chance of hatching.
Its probably a brown red oegb if he is getting aggressive towards other roosters.
I'd call him a black with gold/red leakage...What color would you call this boy? He is bigger than all my other seramas, and now he's getting aggressive toward my smallest male (my favorite), so I think I'll try to sell him. I'd like to know what color I should call him. Thanks! He gets more gold in his hackles every day. I need to get a new pic this evening. This pic was taken last week. He's 11 weeks old now. (the white under him is a female standing behind him)![]()
No, she doesn't have any OEGB's... d'Uccles and Seramas only... I had 2 Serama boys that grew up together that fought after their hormones kicked in... had to separate them... it happens...Its probably a brown red oegb if he is getting aggressive towards other roosters.
