What you write is as I suspected. Thank you for the information. The hen laid 8 eggs before going broody. Three eggs DIS during incubation; my guess is those were the frazzle embryos (double frizzle gene). So from what you write, the three frizzle chicks I have are just that; frizzle serama with one frizzle gene-normal frizzles???My boss makes this pairing regularly (hasn't had the space or time to set up an additional breeding pen and the flat feather males we have been acquiring keep being duds). No doubles frizzles of any sort. The frizzle gene is regarded as a semi-lethal; although 25% of the offspring from a frizzlexfrizzle pairing should be double frizzles, ninety-nine times out of a hundred they die-in shell. So, you get lower hatch rates, sure, but you're not very likely to end up with a double frizzle.
Also, side note, first post on this thread! I'll be in here to post photos of my bosses birds one of these days when I'm at work. I've enjoyed working with them so much I'm tempted to get some for my home flock... if I ever have the room again, that is.
