Me and the crazy azz horse will be going to World Championships in Perry, Ga the last week of October. Will be webcast too.

They have what they call "trick or trot" and it's basically a halloween costume contest for horse and rider. I'm still trying to think up something creative that won't cost a fortune or totally freak my horse out!

Unfortunately, my former boss met the big rooster in the sky in a manner much worse than a scary barrel racing horse. Diabetes.

Hopefully I still have plenty of life ahead of me for good interactions with horses and will get past my fear.


Several of the girls at work have asked about letting them come and ride. I don't allow that because none of mine except one are "babysitters" and that one is a small horse, not suitable to carre more than about 130lb max. Mine are all bred to run either on the race track or barrels.

I hear ya, mine has a scardy cat personality and if a nervous person get on her....she is scared to death and its everyman for himself.....YIKES.....
