American serama thread!

These birds are so hard to take pictures of! I take great pictures of my dogs and horses...I swear. I'll try more when I get home tonight. I'm just killing time until the traffic dies down. Here's my new girl.

Thank you all for your suggestions for my little weak chick. I always put a little sugar in the water for the newly hatched and I dipped it's beak in it twice. Very, very small little chick and very tired but now that it is in the brooder with the others it will be able to eat and drink. If it doesn't then I will use and eye dropper and try to get some liquid into it. Just letting it rest for tonight. I'll hope for the best in the morning. Another egg hatched while I was out with the other chickens and so now there are 2 more left if they are good eggs. 9/11 so far.

ChristineR, I love your new girl. Good luck with her.

Going up to NW Ga to get some leghorns tomorrow, and then my next trip is down to Fla to Grady's to get some Seramas. I really miss them! I find myself still looking toward their run out of habit.

this new little chick is probably the stongest of the chicks i have had hatch so far....its already bopping around the incubator.....very cute little sucker
