Thanks! And June and Bobby wow! My husbands parents were in OKC with the first one, came home and missed the second one though. Glad you all are okay. Loved the picture of all the damage....

I'm on a disaster call list, I worked a little at the hospital in Joplin after the tornado. I would really prefer there be no more disasters for a while.

1Chickmagnet,
I think who ever told you was a bit confused. The only color that is currently approved is white, all other colors and I do mean all, are fine. In fact, that is one of the things most adored by some Serama owners. They can truly be one of a kind. Type is more important to most and can help to identify a true Serama
Do you have photo's?
Many of us have mottled, it's very common in Serama's

thankyou all for the responses. wow... they do come in alot of colors. my little girl is about half grown. she is white with big patches of black. I need to get batteries for my camera but would like to take her photo. I also have a silkie sitting on 4 silkied serama eggs that are due in about a week. I have not candled yet. I live in NH so if anyone hatches mom and kids will be moving indoors for the winter. out nights are already at twenty five degrees.

I finally took some recent pictures of my July hatch today. With the exception of 2 pullets, the 12 I have were hatched on July 4th. The other two pullets came from a breeder near Orlando and were hatched June 1st. Those two pullets have begun to lay eggs.
I cannot believe all 12 were captured in this picture. They're so hard to photograph!

This is a June pullet, she's just begun to lay. The kids named her Cocopuff. I do not know my Serama colors yet, so if you have info, let me know.

I have 2 roos like this one. Almost look like twins! Just small differences in shading.

Two more pullets. Would you call the ligher one a kind of chocolate? I saw another one similar to her online and she was called chocolate.

The roo in the center is Forrest Gump. He was the one I posted a long time ago with the curled toes. He is 100% thanks to the help we gave him. Learned it all from the people here on BYC.

These little chickens are our pets. My kids would love to learn how to "show" them. Unfortunately, we do not have local shows. We would be willing to travel some but there's so much to learn! We are located in Central Alabama. Please feel free to critique them and let me know what colors you would call them.
Thanks!
Tina
