In all fairness, I have to add that there is a lot of truth to what Tim says, but it is not worth fighting over.

I have really cool small chickens too! I think we should just request to rename the thread, "The Ayam Kapan, Imposter American Serama, Smallest Chicken in The World, Or Whatever The *#$! You Wanna Call your Bird Thread". I think I covered it all.![]()

Do you think I'm CRAZY!!! I know when to keep my mouth shut.....but since you asked.....I don't think that the 'name' or 'label' that we call something by is all that important. "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet'. The 'American Serama' is nothing like the 'Malaysian Serama'. Even the 'Traditional Serama' is nothing like the 'Malaysian Serama'. And that's all O.K. with me...doesn't bother me....keeping in mind that this forum is partially show people and partially pet people, we sometimes have friction when we forget that we all have different goals. We're on this forum to enjoy our birds and each other. We need to tolerate our differences and share the things we do have in common. It does bother me that I see a lot of pet quality birds being touted as 'quality birds', but since this is not a 'show forum' so its O.K. to let it pass.![]()

I'm sorry, but those do not conform to the Ayam Kapan standards. I wouldn't breed themI have a couple questions because I have ,my first set of eggs in the bator, (6 days til Dday) and the veins look unusually large is this normal? And junebug, after looking at your site, I would really appreciate your openion on my pair as breeders because their eggs are the ones in the bator I would love to know if i made a good choice?
