American serama thread!

Hello everyone! I have followed this thread for a while now and I need someone to help me with my seramas. I want to know if they have any potential as breeders. I do not plan on showing. I would love some help with their color as well. They are from Cocopop lines. The lady I bought them from said that they were "Cocopop". Is that their color?

Looks like you have a mottled pumpkin ( the bottom one) , a mottled black above it, and the roo looks like mottled pumpkin too. I don't see cocopop at all. They are really pretty though!!

Just sharing my handsome boy...this is Slash, who will is Daddy of half of the eggs I have incubating, and of the two little black and white peeps I just hatched :D Love this guy...I took the roost pole out of his cage so hopefully his tail will look better by April, for the next upcoming show. He is only 7 1/2 months old as well...still has tons of time to mature and become even more handsome :D

Wow!!! He is gorgeous!!! I was watching Taco yesterday and he is standing up much straighter than when I first got him. I was wondering, has anyone seen any difference in stance and attitude related to how these little guys are housed? I'm not entirely sure how Rachel housed my two little beauties before I bought them, but I know they were on a wire floor. I had them inside for a while in a rabbit cage - door open and most of the house available whenever I was home, after a week or so they got really comfortable coming in and out of their cage as they pleased - with pine shavings, and then once the new coop as built they moved outside to the small coop/run. It still has shavings on the ground, we are trying out DLM, but I feel like they are more chicken-like in their outside environment. They both hold their tails and chests more traditionally now as well. Still pet quality, but I though I would throw it out there and see if anyone has noticed anything like that? Or if maybe my birds were just young and hadn't really come into their stance yet.
What a beautiful rooster!
I got 5 chicks so far. Not the best photo but gives you an idea. Get better ones later. ALSO! Have new baby goats born last night!

You are one lucky duck! So with all those extra baby goats, I think that if you don't give me one for easter, we just can't be friends anymore... instead I will have to come and relieve you of your goat population in the dead of night =D
Cute fuzzballs too! They are so irresistible in their ball-of-fuzz state!!
Tell Belle to stop slackin' LOL. How is the weather in Tucson now? Is it warm or cold (you're high up, no?) I know it has nothing to do with egg laying, just curious ;)
I wish!!!! You know not ONE of my 7 hens are laying right now! WHAT THE HECK? I'll be spending most of next week with them outside working on the second coop and outdoor brooder and making little luxury changes to their living arrangements. Maybe they need MORE spoiling... if I don't get some eggs soon, I'll be challenging m husband for axe rights!
Tucson is fairly low height-wise. The temps went WAY up the last week or so here but now they have spiked back down again. It's so stinkin' weird. I think I'll move and get out of this weirdo weather... to Alaska... easy forecast. Cold. And Colder.

So Turtle and friend (still unnamed... I think we'll just leave him that way until one day it shouts itself out at us!) are doing well. They have started to decide pecking order, all two of them lol. It's pretty freaking hilarious to watch them suddenly JUMP up from their naps and flap around puffing their chests and standing tall. I don't know what I'll do with a giant lock of roos but I kinda hope they are both boys cause this is just too cute! Turtle hasn't realized that he is no longer small enough to squeeze through the bars, so he jumps and flies all the way to the top of his cage and claws on, then furiously tries to no avail to squeeze through the bars. I have opened the door and put a small box inside the cage just under the door as a kind of step stool to allow for him to jump out and explore the room. He just doesn't get it! Still going at those bars even though there's a GIANT hole in the front of the cage. He just likes a challenge I suppose. Dork

Glad they reopened the thread too, love seeing everyone's pretty birds on here.

Some new pics of mine. They don't even look like babies anymore, I think eggs aren't too far away. They grow up so fast!

Thank you for this information! I LOVE pumpkin and was what I originally wanted. Quality wise, do you think any of them are possible show candidates? I am open to all criticism. I did not pay top dollar for these birds so fire away.
