American serama thread!

He's blocked here too...I think he confuses "Ayam" Seramas with American Seramas. I used to show Arabian horses, and if anyone had told us that our park type horses were any less Arabian than the long distance racing or the old Davenport or the western type, we would have laughed in their faces. The American Serama is a different type Serama from the very extreme type. Yes, there are breeders in America going for the very extreme, and that is wonderful. I personally think we can happily accept the gorgeous birds that are being bred right now, super extreme or not, as PURE SERAMA and we can accept that the breed flock in this country does not have to be "fixed" or "replaced". Perhaps our friend can fund the replacement of all of our flocks with birds he thinks are suitable...I doubt that will happen LOL!

From the info I know there are two types of AYAM:

AYAM Serama and AYAM Kapan BOTH from the same genre [Gallus gallus].
And of course when they were initially imported from Maylasia we [the USA] didn't get their best, a breeder doesn't sell their best, less you want to pay the big bucks for them that is.....Would YOU sell your best breeders and take the chance of them getting sick/dying froma long trip like that???
Just a thought from this old frogs brain.:)....

So hey peeps, anyone know how if, you can block a user (guess who??!!) so you don't see their posts and they don't see yours?

By any chance are these 'true' seramas being imported by you, and if so will you be selling birds and eggs?
LOL.... You are hilarious Sourland! He doesn't own any birds and refuses to post photos! We don't even know what country he lives in.......

Okay, I'm going to give this thread a good yank, and ask:

Is there anyone in N. California who has good Seramas, who has hens or pullets of definite sex, who has them for sale, or who has a very good flock and some extra eggs?

Here's the problem. Four roos, two hens. I want to get to the point where I have two hens for each roo as soon as I can--they're lovely lads, but the frustration/argument quotient is growing for lack of sex, and it isn't fair to anyone involved.

Can anyone help? Be willing to bring in eggs but as I'm in CA, that can be difficult, as I understand it--don't know for sure. Have a half-Serama, half Belgian d'Anvers hen who is setting now and whom you couldn't pry off the eggs with a shotgun, so could swap hers out without difficulty...

Many thanks!

(Oroville, CA)
