American serama thread!

Oh Boy, that sucks. Please watch Turtle & friend with the newbies. They can be quite inquisitive, you know, pecking eyes, biting toes, and pulling out new feathers. I'd hate for any to get hurt. Some people on here have invented nice little brooders out of storage bins if needs be. Sally Sunshine has a handy dandy little one.

I have been watching them all together this evening to see if they get along. Poor Turtle and friend have no clue what is going on. they look shocked and stunned and took a good 10 minutes before they would even move even though the babies were trampling them!
Everyone is cuddling now. Turtle has a new friend, the little yellow one follows him everywhere.
I got the eggs these babies parents came from, from BHep on here. The daddy is a black and white exchequer and mom is a little black pullet... they are throwing these amazing little babies! I am thrilled so far!

And thanks to everyone who commented.... I am so excited to see the potential this pair seems to have... and I love the black and white, too :D
I need to get my hands on some of those!!! They are just gorgeous

Oh that sounds so cute, kuku, My first Serama was 3 weeks older than 3 others and she just took to them, treated them like her own babies, it was so cute. She was just a baby herself, LOL. Seramas are so sweet. My son isn't much for the other birds, but he really likes the Seramas. Same for my nephew and my girlfriend, who is planning on getting some when she retires back east, LOL. They really do steal your heart!

I wonder if I have the sister to your two. My little chick that started out white now has totally black wings and her tail feathers are starting to come in with some black too.

......and yes, you do need to get some BHep egg's, she has so many birds you get an awesome mix. None of my birds are alike.

how much room do i need for Slick and the girls? they are in a rabbit cage in the kitchen for now, but when the weather gets nice i want to set them up a nice coop and run, also gizmo is itsy bitsy, will it be dangerous for her and monet in with slick, he has been getting romancing thoughts?

Kukupec. Wait at least until they are 8 weeks old to go out if they are very tiny you might have to wait til they are 12 weeks. In warmer weather they can usually go out at 6 to 7 weeks

Are Gizmo and Monet two other pullets or are they with him now? The guys are such klutzes. They try to grab the girl's necks and hold them down, but when the girls are young and not ready they cry and run away. I think it sounds and looks worse than it is because I've found no damage on my girls from Sirius.

Cute pictures, I especially like the inquisitive look the buff girl in the second picture is giving you :)

I love them all! Even my scatter brained big girls. I can't wait to try hatching out some of my OWN serama eggs!

My next open order spot isn't until mid May haha

Sweet! It's nice to have better guidelines. I wish it would warm up here! I know I'll hate myself for saying that when it's 110...
