American serama thread!

Thank you for responding. Your the only one that did so you must be right on.
Sorry, I've bought mine all as chicks or eggs, and am not selling any yet so not sure on the prices. I've seen them anywhere from a few dollars for pet quality, to several hundred for a really nice show quality one. The prices Larps posted seem to be the average though.

all my eggs show signs of develou[pment at day 4... i only buy light egg layers so they are easier to determin
and thats average for the kinds of chicks he has! i would pay 80 if it were gorgious and i was desperate for a hen or cockeral...

if you have cockerals wait until they start crowing and then sell them... you can get more mony for a serama boy whos crow is not so loud.

I need help please! I have eggs in the incubator, they are on days 3 and 4. I don't see any development though I did see the bulls eyes when I opened one of them. I had button quails in the incubator because I didn't have the brooder available yet. You you guys think all the poop they made is infecting the eggs? I cleaned the incubator with water and small amounts of soap... If it is the incubator... How to I clean it???

please help me!!!
HI, Just my humble opinion.............
I would remove the eggs.........put them on a warm heating pad............put a damp warm cloth over them.
Then use bleach deluted with water....maybe a couple of tablespoons to a quart of water.
Let the bleach water set in the incubator about three minutes.........rinse well then dry with a hairdryer so you do not
give the eggs a blast of humidity................. This should not take long at all.
Also.do whatever works for you, but I do not candle or toss till day 11...
Good Luck

He is having trouble with his balance.

Without the brace his head would be touching his wing.

There is a problem called crooked neck (I think)
One of my chicks had it.His head was almost looking backward.
I treated with poly-Vi-Sol.a liquid vitamin for infants.........Must be the one with NO IRON.
One drop three times a day. I didn't believe it would work...but it did.............
