American serama thread!

Just hatched out some new Serama Babies!!! They are from eggs on ebay.

My Serama chick needs help please...

He/She turned 1 month old yesterday. Today he/she is chirping loudly & can only walk backwards in a circle. It's also making little jerking movements with her head.

I have no idea what is wrong or what to do.

This has only been going on for a day?
I'd say leave him another day then look in the 'Learning Center'
I don't have any advice, but I'll be praying for her.

You are lucky. I also got some from e-bay. I only have three viable ones right now. Crossing fingers that they don't quit on me.

Hi. Try some sav-a-chik. Mix it up and put it in the water. But also put some in the crumbles. Make a mash. If the chick is strong enough will def help it. Also found covering the brooder for drafts helps. Havent tried the vitamin E but def wouldnt hurt to try. Will try and think of more to help.

Two possibilities, Wry Neck or vitamin deficiency.... POLY-VI-SOL NO Iron 1 drop given 2-3 times a day OR you can do the B-1 plus E & SELENIUM treatment. For a wee one, I would go the polyvisol route first.... I hope that helps.
