American serama thread!

I understand i keep eggs in the bator to day 24 now as i used to do it till day 23 and ended up opening an egg to see if it were deformed and it was still alive! Just a late developer. Felt sick about it

Nikki no problem hon,I only try to pass on what I have already experienced first hand.I lost several birds in the beginning learning their tolerances.been doing serama 10 yr now and haven't lost a bird to mother nature in many years.I honestly wasn't picking on anyone

Serama don't do well in cold. I had Seramas that did well in dips of 24 degrees but others would die. I now keep my birds in a barn at night that never goes below 32 degrees and don't lose birds. Freezing seems to be the breaking point for quality serama.
