I went to the coop this morning to find my 5 broody hens have hatched at least 3 chicks. My roo tried attacking me when I opened the door...they all seem very protective but this is the first time I have had serama chicks.... Should I leave them with the flock or take them out to a brooder?

you have 5 hens and one roo in the same cage? if that is the case i think i would pull them . at some point they are going to get stepped on or thrown around . if one happens to be a roo then daddy could turn on it. I know some people keep there couples together and let them raise them but this sounds like a chance to me. If you want mama to raise them you can pull her out with the chicks, if not i would do the brooder. ( just my opinion )

I think I am going to pull them, all 5 hens have been sitting on the eggs nonstop the past two weeks(I don't see them move, but they have not starved so they must go out and eat when I am not around), I can't really tell who is "mama" to who, I have considered just moving the roo to another coop for a while.
