I posted this on another thread, but I thought you guys might be able to tell me something about this. We let the lone Serama have a couple days to himself (and a mirror) to strengthen due to his size before we put him in with the Silkies who are only a couple days ahead in age. Well, we handled him a lot bc we didn't want him getting too lonely but we tried putting him in with the other chicks and he is just not interested in them. He peeps. Loud. Nonstop. Unless we hold him. When I say nonstop, I mean seriously, he yells all day long. My entire family, to include kids and other animals, are looking for excuses to leave the house bc of the noise. I have thermometers, so the temp is okay. I didn't know what to do, so I ran errands with him. In my shirt. I took a chicken into CVS and to my kids' school. He is happy as a clam as long as he's ON me. If not, he screams. I've never seen anything like this before and neither has anybody else. It seems like abnormal chicken behavior, of course you could say the same about me, taking a chicken shopping with me. But I was desperate. Lol
