American serama thread!

Thanks! thats Nice that she got off her eggs to take care of babies!
Thanks!
I find it strange. These "chicks" are seven and eight weeks old. The behavior is surprising and she is still brooding them; which they certainly don't need. I'm curious as to how long she is going to keep caring for chicks that don't need a mom.

Some of my hens will do that.
Worf is over 4 months old and I just finally removed him from Gyda & George's enclosure yesterday.
I put him in with my 3 month old crew and he finally gets to be the big one.

Do you know if serama will brood an empty nest? Curious as they seem more touchy about their nest than other chickens. Whenever I have taken all the eggs from a nest, that hen always starts to lay elsewhere.
I have No idea, I have yet to have a broody Serama

Worf
A very fat 11.5 ounces
Almost 4 and 1/2 months old.
I think he will breed.

PRETTY! Do you ever Ship them?

I just walked out to the paddock and Clodagh was walking near the eggs I put out yesterday.
She walked over to me. I started cooing at her and she turned and walked over and got on the eggs.
These birds are amazing!
