Really beautiful birds. These are pet quality???????

I consider 'pet quality' to be the highest quality.
My birds don't attempt to follow the accepted standard so they're not easily comparable to other birds.

I agree that they should be the highest quality possible. The reason why I have been giving birds away as cross breed bantams; not good enough to be sold as serama. Now I think they're good enough to be called pet quality serama. These are terrific; I would love to get some silkied serama. Looking at them brings me a smile. To me it's the show quality that are the highest quality. Pet quality are birds, while good examples of serama, are not perfect.

That sure does look like a big egg for such a little bird. Odd how that goes-My Japanese pullet is a big robust bird and her eggs are the size of the serama.

My newest chicks. Started with four eggs and all four hatched. Yes! Fertility seems to be improving. Next to hatch is next week end.

I candled the next batch due to hatch this weekend. Of the original six eggs, five have made it to day 14. So far, my eggs that make the 14 day hatch. More frizzle eggs.

It sure has. There has been three clutches since I changed. The first-90% nine out ten eggs. The second-100% four out of four eggs. The third-83% five out of six eggs-providing nothing goes wrong and the five actually hatch.

Now I've put the first rooster with my young pullet. Their characteristics seem to mesh better.

I promise I'm not laying that really was her egg. She is all alone right now and I came in from working on fence and there it was! I was surprised to at the size of it. That egg is the same size as my class c seramas egg.

Hold on a minute! I've seen big eggs from little hens before. Accusations of lying was not my intention at all

When my hens get about a year old they lay huge eggs.

All the eggs under my broody are fertile! About 4 are from my birds!
