Emers, Ahsoka and Noname(pronounced Nonahmee) at 2 days. They are now 4 days old, eating, drinking and driving their bantam Cochin mama nuts.

Ahhhhhhh! So sweet; reminds me of mine.

Two hours away at 11:00 AM. Being delivered today! I sure hope so. Tomorrow is back to work with the wife gone to visit Mom for a month. It bugs me to no end that the eggs would sit there waiting for me to get home. Wisconsin has gone back to winter-DANG!

I think that "en route to destination" means a Wisconsin post office, not your home.
Maybe you can leave a cooler by the mailbox with a jug of hot water in it?

No. It means our local UPS office-45 minutes away. The eggs will be delivered tomorrow. A sign on the door asks that packages be left in the garage-I hope they can read!

Got 3 eggs today! Hens are finally starting to lay everyday! (Still have 6 not laying)

Anyways this brings up the things I breed for in a serama that I think are good values.
1) type. This could be like the vertical stance most of us breed for or like how Ra breeds for a ball type serama.
2) temperament. I like to be able to have all my roosters be on tables side by side after they get used to each other (I know I sound crazy) I like to have all my birds be "well mannered" towards other birds and people. I know that when they see a new bird they will react though...
3) egg laying! I want a serama who will lay everyday or every other day when they are in laying mode. I don't think it is practical to have a hen that lays once a week for breeding purposes.
Anything I can add to this? This I what I am striving for...

That's a tough one. Roosters, just like hens, are intent on establishing a pecking order.
I'm always separating birds who start to face off when I let them loose each evening but some of the guys seem to form alliances.
Best friends can still viciously turn on each other if the female situation changes.

I'm sorry I wasn't very clear. I meant that some birds (at shows excpecially) just atrack other birds through the cages. At the last show I was worried about a coupe birds (not mine). I just meant a relaxed bird that won't try to attack the bird in another cage. I understand that chickens are chickens and they will fight. But, a layed back birds is much easier to handle, and in my experience won't fight as much.

What I am trying to say is I want birds that have good temperaments. The birds that I have experienced that constantly fight others, then show that aggression towards humans.

I find that aggression towards humans and aggression towards other birds is often mutually exclusive.

In other words, a bird might be lovable towards me & still be a fighter
and a bird that gets along well with others may not be violent towards me but can be distant.

I have found that too. But, it makes me reluctant to breed them because of that. Now I know it isn't likely to pass on, but with a couple birds I hatched from a friends eggs that happened. Luckily I got it cleared up. But, I would like to stay away from aggression in general.
