I love it!

I wish our current puppy was more like your pug. Ours wants to "play" with chickens, so we can't let them interact until he has a lot more training. I haven't seen a lot of prey drive, just lots of puppy excitement.

I also have a pomapoo that is even less interested They hang out in the yard with them, and will run right thru a flock to chase a wild rabbit, but they don't mess with any of the birds. I think my old Brahma rooster taught Dudley the pug his lesson, when he tried to grab some tail feathers. "Big Guy" the brahma turned on him, and gave him a little scare! Scared me too! But he has not messed with a chicken since then. He walked too close to a Marans cockerel once, just normal sniffing in the yard, and the cockerel flared at him. He tucked tail and ran! He can get "curious", especially when little Spicoli jumps up on my lap. Dudley wants to sniff him. I'm not 100% trusting of the dogs but probably close to 98%.

After seeing @nchls school little cockerel, it dawned on me that I have a young one also, that still doesn't have main sickle feathers. He is from one of my July broody hatches, so he's around 6 months old. But looking back thru pics, his daddy was slow developing his too!
Little he is; only 8 ounces. He's bound to get a bit larger. I'm betting he will eventually get roo feathering.
The last micro cockerel I had proved to be sterile. Sure hope this one isn't. One of the pullets with him is only 5 ounces. The one that laid yesterday is 8 3/4 ounces.
There's just something about the tiny birds that I find enthralling.

Cute. Pugs are wonderful dogs. My wife raises pups to sell. We're expecting dachsie puppies next week. Most of her dogs do well with my birds; even eating from the same dish at time.

Wow! I knew that was little, but I just weighed the little rooster in the pic with the pug, and he’s 1lb2oz, so twice as heavy as your little dude! He’s very solid too.

I rarely get to weigh any of mine, as I don’t really handle them very much. My smallest full grown adult hen is probably around 9-10 ounces, I’d guess.

Faraday, have you ever weighed Teddy?
