Where would I learn more about the chocolate gene? Anybody have a link...I'm going to start reading from page 1 on this forum later. Just wondering if there is an "all in one" site for Seramas & genetics. Thanks!

Congrats redroosterfarm! Awesome birds ya got there!

BobbyC that is a tiny chick! Ohhh soooo cute!!!!

Ok I have a bit of a dillema here, more like a problem child.... Casper one of my serama roos who has excellent type but is a lunker has a massive attitude. He has taken up bullying everyone. He thinks he is the ... well u know. I have been working with him for ages now and I can't calm him down. He is a total NUTCASE. To be honest he is about to get the axe! Unless someone wants him, altho highly doubtful considering I have had multiple ads out for him but none came thru. He is just over a year old, hatched here from my flock. He happens to be the bf's favorite but my worst enemy! I love my birds each and every one of them but he is a different story. He spends the evenings pecking the crap out of all the other birds on the roost for the night, early in the morning he beats the crap out of my special needs roo with no toes on one foot. He goes after all the other roos and is very mean to the hens except one. He has never caused any damage (yet). Last night I grabbed him as he pegged off every bird on the roosts and held him tight for several minutes. I have done this every night or whenever I catch him doing something naughty. I have caged him for several days alone to adjust his attitude but nothing has worked so far. It breaks my heart to have to put him down but at this point unless someone wants a mean roo I don't know what else to do! I am literally at my witts end! Uggghh!

Anyone have any tricks up their sleeves for reforming a bad roo?

Well, Take him by his feet and make him hang upside down in front of all the others while you do chores, ect.... You might even want to let them take a peck at him.

This worked for me with a OEGB! Although he made need a attitude adjustment every day for several days, and a time or two after that or as when needed. I believe you'll start seeing a difference in his attitude!

Goodluck.
